Transfusion of blood and blood products is still a big challenge in most developing countries. In Nigeria plateletpheresis is still a novelty with very low expertise available. National Hospital Abuja was one of the first hospital in Nigeria to pioneer apheresis procedure in 2015. This study was undertaken to help guide policy in the country.
